Bhumi as one of the biggest youth volunteering organizations in India and present in more than 12 main cities in India, organized Bhumi India Run (BIR) in Kolkata on Nov 20,2016 with almost 300 people participating including corporates, college goers, school students and senior citizens to support the cause – Education for the under privileged children.

Bhumi India Run is a fundraising event which has been carried out in all the five major cities, this year – Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata. BIR Kolkata started from Sector V – Infinity Think Tank where the participants started with the Warm Up activities at 5:30 A.M. and the enthusiasm vibrating in the air was filled with passion that triggered the energy at it’s zenith.

The Run Category was mainly of two types – 5 KM and 10 KM, both starting at 6:00 A.M. with a small interval of 5 minutes. It was officially the second run for Bhumi in the city of Joy and Bhumi made sure that it turned out to be a big event at the end of the day.

“Happiness for me was when a sixty year old lady came to me and spoke about joining us as a volunteer to support equal education for all children” told one of the volunteers. The Run ended at 8:00 A.M. and everyone returned home happily with the notion of changing today and changing tomorrow. A big round of applause for NTT Data, Ola, Zoomcar, Sportiz, Infinity Think Tank for supporting the cause which will ignite many minds across the country.
